STAMPERS SHOWCASE GIFT PACKAGING BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to my blog. 

Today I am taking part in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop which is all about gift packaging.  If you are following today's hop, you would have reached me from Annette Ball in Canada.  

For my project today, I have created a matching gift box and card which is a great way of personalising your gifts for any occasion. 

The monochrome look is one of my most favourite colour combinations.  For this project, I have used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, and added in some Crumb Cake for an extra neutral tone.  

  

For the box, I have stamped onto the lid only with one of the leaf images from the 木瓜云梯子 before folding and sticking together.  I have used both linens from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack to attach the sentiment banner that I have cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock.  

To bring the sentiment and the box together, I have added some fussy-cut leaves that match the lid.

This box was super easy to put together and is a great size; the lid completely detaches and would look great in any colours and for any occasion.  I have added measurements further down this post for you to recreate from your craft desk.

• Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock cardbase measuring 14.9cm x 21cm, scored at 10.5cm and folded in half
• 2 pieces of Basic Black Cardstock measuring 9.2cm x 13.6cm
• 2 pieces of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 9cm x 13.4cm

There are some amazing designs to inspire you using inspiration from our Annual Catalogue and Mini Catalogue that launches on the 4th August.  If you haven't got your paper copy yet and would like one, please do let me know and I shall post one to you.  

For my card today, I have used products from my favourite suite in the forthcoming catalogue, Trimming the Town.  

I have used the Coming Home Stamp Set to create the images on my card that I have coloured in with 木瓜云梯子. 

I have created the speckled look for the background with Whisper White Ink that I have splashed onto 云梯子using a paintbrush and some water.  I have torn the edge of the card to add some more texture.  

One of my favourite items in this suite is the sheet of DSP that is strips of sentiments.  I have used a "Be Merry" sentiment for this one that I have cut out from the card.
